This season we have all that golden zardozi border, brocade work, chanderi silks, velvets, raw, cotton, pure silks etc to name a few. We all want to look the best of the best on this special occassion.

Now, who doesn’t love Indian weddings? The music, the food, the drinks, and the uncles with their “screw the light bulb” and “pet the dog” (whatever that saying is) awkward dance moves. This is the time when each girl shines. She looks the best she’s ever looked and she’s going to dance like no one is watching her, this is OUR time girls! Who knows, maybe you’ll even find the man of your dreams at one of these weddings

As the wedding season approaches, everyone wants to try different wedding color combos you’ve never seen. From old age to kids, all start picking the golden, silver, wine, mauves, browns, reds, fuschia, yellows, oranges, purples, greens and you name the color its present in the weddding.

One’s Wedding is a new step into new life but for some its a nostalgia as everyone is lost in their own memories. Everyone wants to be a part of theis glam sham season.

Being recognized as by the title of “Blue Fly” the highest award given to a dancer ever, Mariam had fulfilled her childhood dream of being a dancer. It’s the story of a young girl who she had always believe in the power of 3 D’s in her life: – Determination, Dedication and Devotion. Using the power of 3D’S she make one thing DANCE.

Belonging to poor family, she or no one had ever thought of that she can win this title. She was the youngest child of a farmer. Since beginning of her childhood, she use to run on the trees with her toes and start dancing randomly at times she had fallen from the trunk of trees, but next moment she was again rehearsing and rehearsing.

Always helpful to her mother in sowing the paddy and in fact she used to love it and in fact in wet land she use to sow as if its wet stage and she has to dance on it.

Somewhere her mother and father had seen her rehearsing on wet land and they were happy to see the daughter’s passion towards dancing. From that day onwards, they start teaching her the art as how she should learn the art of balancing by walking on the thin trunk of a tree. At times, she had hurt her feet and her parents use to apply oil on her feet.

Somewhere, they were also sure about her dream that it will come true.

Being parents, they always want to give the best to their children somehow they start believing by supporting and helping her she can follow her dream and she need not to work on the paddy fields anymore.

There is a saying, “Where there is a will, there is a way”. It was the right time when she came to know about the Dance audition happening on the small level and junior dancers were required for the lead dancer. Her eyes flashed as if the journey towards her dream was about to started.

Taking the blessings from her parents she started from home but what she didn’t know was actually it was the path what she was looking for!

Finally, she had managed to reach the place and to her utter surprise there was proper procedure as firstly, they will really identify by going through various tests.

The next day, there was total of 40 candidates and all were told to dance on the toe for 10 minutes, followed dance on wet land for 20 minutes and then running and dancing on the trunk of trees with ease.

Hearing this all candidates were little upset, but Mariam was all set to proceed further and she did dance on toe, wet land and balanced herself on the trees. Which was very stunning performance as she was the only candidate to pass all tests.

Later she came to know that actually she is the lead dancer as there is no requirement of junior dancers as the news was little confusing. Later, she came to know that the performance is actually on the global level, where she has to compete with other dancers coming from different nations. Hearing this, her eyes were filled with tears of happiness and pain of struggle. It was actually that one opportunity to what she was looking or waiting for so long.

After a week , she on the stage of Performance where she outshined herself and also won the title of “Blue fly”. It is the beautiful beginning of her new journey.

The day she landed India it was not other day but Diwali – Day full of lights in everyone’s life and when she reached her village the parents were dancing with joy the dance of happiness. Later that day, her parents shared their passion for dance and how they had decided to help her in fulfilling her dream. Actually, it was her parent’s dream which was fulfilled by Mariam. Really! it was Diwali that brings lights in her family and it remains forever in their lives !

My Lucky Leap Year of 2012 –

I still remember the day when was totally enjoying the romantic comedy movie “the leap year” in which Amy Adams plans are totally turned up by the unlikely events which further complicated when she hires a handsome innkeeper to take her to her boyfriend in Dublin. THere the story totally turns when she is going to propose her boy friend but ends up finding her true love.
Somehow, I also start thinking that I will also get marry to my sweetheart in leap year and with this wish in my mind start living my life.

I was so much in my life that completely forget about my little sweet wish and a marriage proposal came on my way in the leap year only and suddenly i was taken back that i had just thought of and it came out to be a reality. I pinched myself is it a dream or reality but it was hard core reality when my father called and told me there is a guy coming to meet me and i should be present on Tuesday. I was totally reluctant to meet him but cannot refuse my father also. So, I said yes but have one condition If I really like that guy will say yea else no way. So, the deal was finalized between me and my father.

So, very relaxed and happily that will be saying no to him came home and was in very casual mood and have very clear vision saying NO and going back to my work.

The next morning was very bright and sunny. All my family members busy in cleaning and arranging home in the best way from washing to spreading the sheets. I was finding home a very special one where can feel lots of love and warmth in the air only.

Then, so many instructions from sitting to eating, talking to laughing and was listening but deep inside was becoming more determine that will be saying no and go back to my work place.

The boy along with his parents came to meet our family and meanwhile was getting full description about the guy how he looks etc.

The moment entered the room he stood up to greet me and I smiled back as I really liked his gesture.

Then, comes the most embarrassing situation you guys talk we will be joining later and was thinking what I will know in 15 minutes talk. Let’s finish this thing and for the first time I talk very freely and tell him all about me and meanwhile I like his attentions that he was giving while we were talking with each other.

Suddenly, families came into the room and to know more about the decision but before that again we want to talk further before coming out for any decision. Again we talk and this time again noticed that he was paying full attention to everything i was talking to. I found him very active listener and good observer.

AND finally he said YES to me and i was shocked how come when I did not give him chance to talk how come.

Before I realize what was happening in life I was engaged.
